These rifles lack any markings to indicate where and when they were made. After the Spanish Civil War, unmarked 's were converted from existing Model 's and 's, presumably at Oviedo as well, or at least that's my theory as of now. The early Oviedo Model 's have the Oviedo crest and year of manufacture on the receiver. They were also imported in the 's, then manufactured at Oviedo, and the markings are nearly identical to the Model 's. The bolts are bent as shown in the picture below.

The picture below shows a side view of a full length Model The Model carbines are similar to the regular Model 's, except that the barrels are shorter about 17"the rear sight is shorter, and most are stocked all the way to the end. Imported Model 's from Germany and Belgium during the 's usually have the Spanish crest and year of manufacture on the receiver bridge as well as the manufacturer designation on the left receiver wall. The more recent Oviedo Model 's after about have an oval gas escape hole in the left side of the receiver. Oviedo Model 's have a crown, the year of manufacture, and "Fabrica de Armas Oviedo" on the receiver bridge.

The Model 's have 29" barrels, straight bolt handles, and no thumb cut in the left receiver rail. The picture below shows a Model action with bolt.

Serial numbers usually consist of a single letter, or "2" and a single letter, followed by anywhere from one to four numbers usually four. All were originally chambered in 7mm Mauser. All Model 's and Model 's have a rib on the left side of the receiver wall, and the bolt face is squared off at the bottom.
